چکیده
The oligomerization of biomass-derived light olefins offers a promising potential for the synthesis sustainable jet-fuels, which mostly comprise C10-C18 hydrocarbons. However, selectivity control reaction remains challenge. In this contribution, pentene and hexene mixtures was studied over acidic mesoporous Al–SBA–15 catalyst in continuous operation, impact different process parameters on conversion is thoroughly evaluated. Kinetics evaluation showed that reactivity higher than hexene. Selectivity to jet-fuel range products > 98 % were achievable at low-to-moderate conversions (<50 %), while (ca. 90 %) resulted selectivities ca. 75 %. Notably, product distribution iso-conversion unaffected by temperature, pressure, weight hourly space velocity, implicating adjusting primary way tune Al-SBA-15 catalyst. This understanding opens door research devoted complex olefin mixtures, mimicking stream production units, order achieve “biomass jet-fuel” transformation.

Jet-Fuel Range Hydrocarbons from Biomass-Derived Sorbitol over Ni-HZSM-5/SBA-15 Catalyst
Aromatics and cyclic-hydrocarbons are the significant components of jet fuel with high energy-density. However, conventional technologies for bio-fuel production cannot produce these products without further aromatization and isomerization. In this work, renewable liquid fuel with high content of aromatics and cyclic-hydrocarbons was obtained through aqueous catalytic conversion of biomass sorb...
متن کاملCatalytic conversion of isophorone to jet-fuel range aromatic hydrocarbons over a MoO(x)/SiO2 catalyst.
For the first time, jet fuel range C8-C9 aromatic hydrocarbons were synthesized in high carbon yield (∼80%) by the catalytic conversion of isophorone over MoO(x)/SiO2 at atmospheric pressure. A possible reaction pathway was proposed according to the control experiments and the intermediates generated during the reaction.

The catalytic co-pyrolysis of a seaweed biomass, Laminaria japonica, and a typical polymer material, polypropylene, was studied for the first time. A mesoporous material Al-SBA-15 was used as a catalyst. Pyrolysis experiments were conducted using a fixed-bed reactor and pyrolysis gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS). BET surface area, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, and NH3 tempe...
